4 Race Open Southern Series 2011

From Cressy on Saturday 04/06/11 & 18/06/11

From Wonthaggi on Saturday 11/06/11 & 25/06/11

Cost $2.00 per bird

Open to all Melbourne Metropolitan Flyers provided they have a current GPS loft coordinate.

Race Conditions:

Require GPS coordinates of loft position at least 2 weeks prior to first race to enable distance calculations
Basketing at Ivanhoe Centre on Friday night prior to race from 7pm
Clocks to be set on night of basketing (computer electronic systems allowed but ensure suitable hardware is available for your timing device)
Birds will be held securely overnight at the centre and transported Saturday morning
If inclement weather, the race committee will decide whether to proceed. Caution will be given for the welfare of the birds. Monies will be refunded or credited to the Flyer if the race does not proceed. Birds will be liberated locally in an open area.
Only one bird can be clocked per Flyer
Presentation of clocks within 2hrs after clocking at the Ivanhoe Centre
There will be 3 prizes each week 1^st 50%, 2^nd 30% & 3^rd 20% of prize pool
10% of the weekly prize pool will be held for the 4 race series winner on points. Points will be awarded to all competing flyers each week

Additional to the prize pools, there will be sponsored prizes from a number of generous sponsors
